We source our products from authorized vendors or directly from the manufacturers, ensuring that we never sell fake fragrances, knockoffs, or imitations. Our commitment is unwavering, and we do not compromise, alter, or change the original state of the fragrances in any manner. Our process involves simply transferring the liquid into a new atomizer for the sake of convenience and sampling.

ScentsofMood operates as an entirely independent entity, distinct from the manufacturers or brand owners of the niche and designer fragrances in our collection. We want to assure our customers that the content available through scentsofmood.store consists of genuine products independently re-bottled and repackaged by us. We maintain no affiliations or associations with the brand, designer, or the manufacturer of the fragrances we carry. Importantly, we do not possess any agreements authorizing us to re-bottle or repackage these fragrances


WHAT IS A DECANT?


A decant, also referred to as an atomizer or sample bottle, involves the process of transferring liquid from one container to another. In the context of fragrances, decanting specifically refers to the extraction of scents from their original bottles into smaller, sample-sized formats.


HOW DO YOU DECANT THE FRAGRANCE?


In our meticulously sterilized aseptic laboratory, we meticulously handcraft each sample to order. Utilizing a sterile syringe, we precisely measure and transfer the liquid from the original retail bottle into the new atomizer. The decanting process is conducted with utmost care, ensuring that the original state of the fragrance is preserved without compromise, impact, or alteration.

HOW LONG DOES A SAMPLE LAST?


The number of sprays per bottle depends significantly on your daily fragrance usage. Here's an estimate for each sample size in our Economy Atomizer:

  • 2ml = approximately 30 sprays
  • 3ml = approximately 45 sprays
  • 5ml = approximately 75 sprays
  • 10ml = approximately 150 sprays

The lifespan of a sample fragrance ranges from 3 to 6 months, influenced by factors such as storage location and conditions.


WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO STORE MY SAMPLE?


Optimal storage for your fragrances involves placing them in a cool, dark, and/or dry environment, steering clear of direct sunlight and excessive humidity. Recommended storage locations for your samples include drawers, closets, or cabinets. Ensuring that your sample is kept upright helps prevent potential leakage.


ARE THE DECANTS/ SAMPLES SPRAY TOP OR DAB APPLICATION?


Every decanted sample we provide includes a spray top for precise and ideal application!


ARE THE DECANTS/ SAMPLES LABELED?


Certainly! Each sample is individually tagged with the fragrance name and brand. For our Premium Atomizers, the labeling is done on the inner glass vial. To view the label, twist the atomizer to the spray position and gently pull out the inner tube.


WHAT WILL I GET WHEN I PURCHASE A DECANT/ SAMPLE FROM SCENTSOFMOOD?


You'll be provided with a genuine fragrance meticulously decanted into a sample size. This decanted fragrance is entirely authentic, skillfully extracted from the original retail bottle, and crafted specifically for you upon order! Encased in a glass vial with a spray top for optimal application, each sample is professionally labeled and thoughtfully packed to ensure utmost care.


WHY ARE THE BOTTLES MADE OF GLASS AND NOT PLASTIC?


Opting for glass enhances a fragrance's durability and overall shelf life. The high-quality glass we utilize is resistant to easy breakage. Nonetheless, mishandling or accidental drops may increase the risk of breakage.


ARE THE DECANTS/SAMPLES SAFE TO TRAVEL WITH?


Absolutely! All decant size options adhere to TSA regulations and requirements. Our glass bottles are crafted from high-grade materials, striking a balance between delicacy and sturdiness.

Shipping usually spans a period of 2-3 business days. While we strive for accuracy, it's important to note that occasional delays beyond our control may occur with the postal service.

CAN I CANCEL AN ORDER?


Certainly, you can cancel your order if it has not yet been shipped. If the order has already been shipped, but you requested a cancellation before the designated shipping date and time, we will accept the return of the unopened/original package. However, please note that the return shipping cost will not be covered by us; it will be your responsibility. Upon receiving the canceled order back in stock and inspecting it, we will proceed to issue a refund.

Should you discover that we shipped the wrong fragrance, we apologize for any inconvenience caused, and a replacement will be issued. Please email us with the details and attach a picture of the product as received, as replacements will only be processed with photographic evidence of the error.

We encourage you to thoroughly inspect your package upon receipt. If any issues with the order are identified, please contact us within 3 days of receiving the shipment. Your satisfaction is our priority, and we are here to assist you.


WHAT HAPPENS IF MY SHIPMENT SHOWS "DELIVERED" BUT I DID NOT RECEIVED IT?


We cannot assume responsibility for orders claimed as lost or stolen post-delivery. Please consider allowing a grace period of one to two days for shipments labeled as "delivered," as occasionally, packages may be pre-scanned while in transit to their destination.

CAN I EXCHANGE OR RETURN MY SAMPLE?


Kindly make your sample selection(s) thoughtfully, as we do not entertain returns or exchanges for refunds. However, we cannot guarantee the integrity of products returned, as they may have been compromised or altered.
